Visit by Moderator of Church of Scotland

The Rev Susan Brown will be visiting Kirkcaldy during November and will be at morning worship in Linktown Church on Sunday 4th November at 11am.  It’s planned that all Kirkcaldy Church of Scotland congregations come together for this – Linktown Church has been chosen for it’s seating capacity (1000), access (ramps, parking nearby) and resources (loop hearing system, screen projection, sound).   No service in Abbotshall Church.  All are welcome at Linktown.

On Sunday 4th November at 11am, led by “the Moderator,” shall start a Service of celebration and worship, public and open to all. The moderator is Rev. Susan Brown, normally minister of Dornoch Cathedral. She is known for her quick-witted humour, for conducting the wedding of pop-star Madonna and golf-course prayers.

The moderator (of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland) is the representative figure head of the Church of Scotland, this year visiting here (Kirkcaldy Presbytery) for a week-long varied programme.
