Thought for the week

Prayer for January

Prayer
Incomparable God,
our minds cannot hold You,
our words cannot express You
and Your goodness and mercy
stretch beyond our capabilities.

And yet out of Your abundant grace
You call us to live our lives
in the brightness of Your presence;
that we might hold each thought and word
to the light of Your truth,
so that we may be truth;
and hold each word and deed
to the light of Your love,
so that we may be love.

Illumine our lives
with Your vivifying presence
that we in turn, may radiate
Your life-giving love to others.
Amen
