Blythswood Care

Blythswood Care

For our Harvest Thanksgiving Service each year we fill shoeboxes for Blythswood Care as a way of showing our thanks to God. The shoeboxes are filled with a variety of small gifts for a child or adult. Shoeboxes filled by schoolchildren and church folk from all over the Kirkcaldy area are gathered together at Templehall Church. After a short service of worship they are loaded onto a Blythswood Care van and are on their way to Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and the Ukraine in Eastern Europe – all in time for distribution for Christmas. These small gifts bring a big smile to the faces of the people who receive them.

Each month a Blythswood Care van visits Kirkcaldy to collect donations of clothing, bric-a-brac and small items of furniture. The van can be found at the lorry park on the Esplanade, usually on the third Wednesday of the month from 10.45am-11.30am. (See website for dates).
